Proverbs 31 Woman
God gives guidelines on how a virtuous woman lives her life. Unfortunately, the modern opinion of society has twisted this into viewing it as demeaning towards women and pronounces it as a lesser role. It is not and it has hurt countless women, mothers, men, fathers, and children and continues to do so.
To really study Proverbs 31 gives us an empowering look at women.
A Proverbs 31 woman is:
- Righteous in God
- A loving wife who’s husband places his trust in her
- A smart shopper
- A seamstress
- A gardener
- An excellent housekeeper
- A teacher of her children
- Innovative in finances
- A good businesswoman
- Charitable to those in need
- Strong, dignified, and wise
- A women her husband praises to those around him and is proud to have as a wife.
How could any of these things be considered demeaning to a woman? These are the things that society views as excellent traits but the traditional wife and mother has been twisted into an unworthy role. So many wifes and mother’s are filled with resentment and guilt for trying to fit into the role that modern society demands of them.
